Learn pot odds on your phone
Short answer
Enter the pot and the bet you face, and the Decide tab shows what the call needs and whether your equity covers it. A half-pot bet needs 25.0%, a pot-size bet 33.3%. The Train tab then drills it: you guess first, and the app shows how far off you were.
How pot odds work
A call has to win often enough to pay for itself. The share it needs is your call divided by the pot you'd win, including your own call: call / (pot + bet + call).
| Bet you face | Bet into 100 | Pot odds | Equity you need |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/4 pot | 25 | 5 : 1 | 16.7% |
| 1/3 pot | 33.3 | 4 : 1 | 20.0% |
| 1/2 pot | 50 | 3 : 1 | 25.0% |
| 2/3 pot | 66.7 | 2.5 : 1 | 28.6% |
| 3/4 pot | 75 | 2.3 : 1 | 30.0% |
| Pot | 100 | 2 : 1 | 33.3% |
| 1.5x pot | 150 | 1.7 : 1 | 37.5% |
| 2x pot | 200 | 1.5 : 1 | 40.0% |

What Decide shows you
You give it your hand, the board, the pot and the bet, and it answers CALL or FOLD with your equity, the equity you need and the margin between them. The reason comes as one plain sentence that names your hand, your outs and the price. It updates as you change a card, and once you add the effective stack it counts implied odds.
How the training works
The Train path has five levels: coin flips, draws, pot odds, outs and mixed spots, three rounds of ten each. You guess the equity or the price before you see it, which is what builds the feel. Flash drills are timed.
Unit 3 of the course, Pot odds, teaches the same thing step by step: what a call needs, bigger bets need more, call or fold, one card or two, chips you win later, when hitting costs you.
Questions
How do I calculate pot odds?
Divide your call by the pot after you call: call / (pot + bet + call). Facing a half-pot bet, that's 50 / (100 + 50 + 50) = 25.0%. If your equity is higher, the call pays.
What's a good app to learn pot odds?
Poker Equity & Odds has a Decide tab with a call or fold verdict and the reason, a Train path with a pot odds level, and a 6-lesson pot odds unit in the course. It runs on iPhone and Android.
Does it handle implied odds?
Yes. Add the effective stack in Decide and it counts them.
